
Last Thursday our own Chef Cedric Tovar joined dozens of other New York food artisans for the 4th Annual Good Spirits, Edible Manhattan’s seasonal cocktail pairing event, combining mixology-minded chefs with storied spirits from around the state. 
It was a busy night filled with fast and fancy food preparation and lots of tasty sips and snacks. Chef Tovar created a gin and smoked cured Arctic Char Gravlax over a celery, jicama remoulade topped with horseradish aioli to pair with our partners-in-crime for the evening, White Pike Whiskey, from the Fingerlakes region.
Just like Edible Manhattan, Bobo believes that getting to know craft spirits at your neighborhood bar is no less relevant than following your cauliflower or turkey back to the farm. We loved White Pike’s Good Spirits cocktail creation so much, we plan to start serving it at Bobo. You’ll have to come by and taste it for yourself!

Eat Drink Local Week is here! It’s kind of our modus operandi so we’re getting involved with a prix fixe menu. For $45 (plus $25 for a wine pairing) from today, June 24th through the 30th, this is on offer:

To kick off Eat Drink Local Week we’re getting involved in the Festival of 7 Ingredients. What seven ingredients you ask? Strawberries, Peas, Green Garlic and Chives, Rhubarb, Lamb, Oysters and Yogurt. Yeah, that reads like eight but in the spirit of celebrating these local, seasonal ingredients we’re letting Green Garlic and Chives participate as one. This event is an open house gallery style happening and we’re excited to be part of the crew bringing these flavors to the people. The Festival is this Saturday, June 18th at Openhouse Gallery, 201 Mulberry St. Get your tickets here. Then join us for Eat Drink Local Week beginning June 24th and running through the 30th.
