Sunday Session with Melanie Moser
We are so excited to finally host the beautiful singer/songwriter Melanie Moser! A South Dakota native, Melanie’s music is rooted in the earth, her lyrics poetic and her tunes inspired by folk. Melanie has toured with Band of Horses and while often performing with a band, on Sunday it is all Melanie, with a couple of surprise guests… “Her music is of the earth but tends to...

Summer Thirst
While we’re always excited about new creations and the bounty provided by mid-summer, we’re equally if not more excited currently by the people who make what we do possible- the producers. We’ve always taken pride in supporting the little guy, and we may just have a new favorite little guy. While we operate on opposite coasts, the bobo bar staff and the Tenbrink family of Suisun...

The Biker
It was our dear Andy’s birthday this past Friday. His wife gave him a fancy bike for his daily 180 block commute to the restaurant. Not bad at all. To top it all off our pastry chef Emily made him an inspired cake! Not only did it look appetizing, it tasted delicious. - Katrine

from the GM: Duck Bones?
Forever I have pondered that question: the ultimate foodie epitaph: ‘what would you have for your death row meal?’ Before I’ve always thought it would ba a whole chicken carcass, served simply on a white plate with a napkin and a glass of water. I’m weird like that I’m afraid. Many years spent worshiping at the church of Henderson - Fergus Henderson that is, the...

Available in the Den Friday through Sunday nights, we serve Patrick’s Lobster Roll ($14 - above), spiked watermelon, S’Mores, Fries and a “dolled-up” dog (it’s a fancy hot dog!) Flip Flop’s optional! - Katrine

from the KITCHEN: Vegetable love
I sweat an abnormal amount.  You’d think that spending most days of my life in a kitchen I’d develop some sort of resistance to heat.  Nope.  It’s non-stop.  So even I like to keep it light in the Summer and do 2 or 3 days total vegetarian.  This dish makes things a little easier.  Roasted Turnip ‘Scallops’ with komatsuma, pickled vegetables and hazelnuts.  The...

As you may have seen in a previous post, we are planning a second restaurant in the...

Up on Cripple Creek
Yeah. We’re hot too. Summer’s struck early, and frankly, we need a drink. Its time to sit on a porch,  tipple in hand, and let the day fade. And yet Manhattan refuses to yield that idyllic sunset, purveyed deck-side, julep in hand. But we’ve figured out a happy medium- the Cripple Creek. We complement fresh basil with Green Chartreuse, Buffalo Trace bourbon, fresh lime,...
